having a martini with jalapeno-stuffed olives, catching up on podcasts, rearranging the contents of my kitchen. turns out a guy who no longer works at my company still has a W subscription delivered there, so the office manager assumed (correctly) that i might want them. i’ll probably curl up on my fabulous couch later and read the january edition while listening to this jangly old country...

what to do, everything is violent. and weird. maybe one day i’ll live in a world where i don’t have to worry about my friends’ day-to-day existence. but right now, i still worry every single day about whether my friends can even exist without someone trying to put an end to them. i can’t always be there to try to protect them. and that hurts.
